- Shift funding to community programs
Re-design the NYPD’s “Build the Block” meetings to be led and facilitated by community leaders
Fund additional Cure Violence sites and similar programs
Empower the Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) with the power to determine and enforce disciplinary actions in response to complaints against NYPD officers
Demand all new recruits and new officers be required to take part in community tours and meet with community leaders, community based organizations and business owners.
Demand that before new supervisors are placed into new precincts, that we institute a community leader approval process.
